What is BolnaSeekho?
BolnaSeekho is an AI-powered English speaking practice platform built for Indian learners. It is designed for people who can understand at least some English but hesitate when a real person asks a question. Instead of treating speaking as the final exam after months of grammar, the product makes speaking itself the daily exercise.
The experience uses English, Hindi and Hinglish according to the situation. A learner can warm up with text, move to voice, repeat an answer and try a higher-pressure scenario when ready. The goal is not to erase an Indian accent or make every sentence sound American or British. The practical goal is clearer communication, faster recovery after mistakes and more willingness to speak.
Why the product feels Indian
Many language exercises use generic airport, hotel or textbook dialogues. BolnaSeekho starts with situations that Indian learners recognise: a placement interview, a difficult workplace answer, a family question, an auto-rickshaw disagreement, a college conversation or a quick Hindi-to-English response. Familiar context reduces the time spent understanding the scene and puts attention on the act of speaking.
Characters such as Sharma Aunty and HR Priya are practice roles, not human teachers. Scores and AI feedback are practice signals, not academic grades, hiring predictions or clinical assessments. Learners should use the feedback to notice patterns and repeat an answer, while recognising that automated speech and language systems can make mistakes.
How the technology is used
BolnaSeekho combines browser-based voice input, Sarvam AI speech services and server-side language-model calls through AWS infrastructure. Provider credentials stay on the server. Supabase supports authentication and learning data with row-level security. The public web experience is prerendered so search engines and assistive tools can read important pages without waiting for the full React application.
Voice mode sends audio for speech processing when a learner chooses to use it. The current privacy policy explains the processors, account controls and deletion route. AI responses can be incomplete or wrong, so the product is a practice aid rather than professional, medical, legal or career advice.
Our content and comparison standard
